Engaging the culture with the gospel of Jesus Christ.

The Brevity of Life:

“Cease ye from man, whose breath is in his nostrils: for wherein is he to be accounted of?” Isaiah 2:22

All the breath you have is in your nostrils. For you to continue, God must supply you with another. If He chooses not to, then you will depart from this world and find yourself in the presence of The Almighty, or surrounded by the torments of hell forever to suffer the unending wrath of God.

In what/ who are you trusting to stand when you meet God, The Creator and Sustainer of all things? What will cause the wrath of God to stop short of consuming you? Any man-made concoction will not do. Cease ye from man, and his contrivances. His breath is in his nostrils. He is nothing but vapor, and any support he may create is of no more strength than its designer.

There is only One on which to hope and in which to stand. There is only One’s righteousness which is true and holy. There is only one man who can abide the wrath of Almighty God – The God-man Christ Jesus.

Sinner, do you see your frailty? Do you see and loath your wickedness? Do you long to be rid of your sin? Look to Jesus! He died for sinners. The sins of men were placed on Him. He, Who knew no sin, was made sin. God’s wrath was poured out on His dear Son; and those who repent and believe on The LORD Jesus Christ will be saved! You may ask, “How do I know He died for me?” Friend, if He has so worked in your heart as that you now see your exceeding sinfulness, the justness of God’s wrath upon you, and long to escape it and find rest from your sinful burden – rest assured, He shed His own blood for your soul! Repent and believe on Him and be saved!
